double entries

Post by Shoren »

After updating to 1.0 beta, I have encountered the problem that each time I post an entry, it doubles after about 2 minutes. Does anyone have a clue why this happens? :(

What serendipity event plugins are you using? Did you change your browser maybe? Are you using fasterfox maybe?

Most likely this is a browser problem.

Hi!

Please use a stable browser and try it with that. If it works, please file a bugreport for the MSIE. :-)

The plugins you mentioned cannot be responsible for that behaviour, also an upgrade shouldn't be responsible for it. I have heard of such a problem wie MSIE7 before.

Thanks to Microsofts marketing and beta software strategies and installation issues I cannot test MSIE7 on my system, so I cannot investigate this further. :(

Regards,
Garvin

You're right! I tried Firefox and it didn't happen again. I'll make sure to let Microsoft know about the problem.

If you want to try the IE 7, you can go to this site: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7 ... irect.mspx

I can't do that, since I don'T want to screw up my working IE6 installation. If Microsoft were as serious about their webbrowser as others, they would make their browser installable in multiple versions, like I can have any version of firefox and opera peacefully co-exist.

On top of that I refuse to take part in their online identification system AKA "Genuine Advantage". I like to keep the big brother in TV, and not on my system :)

Best regards,
Garvin
