Which version should I install?

I'm considering trying s9y, but don't know which version I should start with. I noted a comment that 1.0 beta1 was supposed to be production in February, but if there are comments or notes explaining the delay, then I've missed them. Thanks, in advance.

For trying, I really suggest to use the 1.0-beta1 release.

Basically our 1.0 release is technically finished, we are just polishing our homepage and documentation for a really good and solid release.

Since "going 1.0" is an important step, we want that to be publically addressed, and for that we need a polished homepage - which isn't currently really representing Serendipity well.
