Hi all, I've been receiving quite a few emails and comments on my blog from users who are identifying problems with Serendipity, and in particular with the new theme. Quite a few users seem to be using the latest nightly's. I hope the problems aren't related to my theme, but if they are it probably needs to be addressed reasonably quickly.
The problem that has most generated mail and comments to me is about a possible missing or extra </div> that seems to have appeared sometime in the last 2-3 nightly builds. I can't seem to track it down, but it seems to most appear when the comments plugin is installed. Users are emailing me saying that the default theme (mine) doesn't validate due to a missing </div> but when I check the latest nightly I seem to find an extra </div>. Possibly there is some confusion, but is anyone else able to pin this down?

Re: help needed - possible missing or extra </div>
Could you give us the URL to a site where this problem happens?

Sorry Garvin, I installed a fresh serendipity on my local server so no url. I can tell you the problem is not just on my themes, Kubrick also gets broken up when the sidebar comments are installed. Strangely, your mozilla theme works better, but the footer is missing. The version of nightly I installed was s9y_200602261438.tar.gz

Thanks a lot! I found the duplicate </div> in the comments plugin and removed it for the 1.0 branch and the 1.1 trunk.
