It seems you have deleted some core serendipity files.

Re-Upload the files from the serendipity version that you had installed. Especially check if you have all the files in your include/ subdirectory. It seems your include/functions_permalinks.inc.php file atleast is missing.

New look at it?

Post by solan »

Can you take a new look at it? I upgraded to 0.9, but it seems like there are some new tables in mysql from the past version I had... (serendipity_authorgroups)
Well, what do I do now?
solan

Create the tables

Post by solan »

I can maybe create the table, but then I need to know how it looks... Or maybe get the "CREATE TABLE"-sentence to put in phpmyadmin, to automaticly create it...

Re: Create the tables

How did you do the upgrade? Usually you should see an upgrader admin screen which creates the necessary new Tables!

Please look at our FAQ; it covers this process very detailed.

upgrade

Post by solan »

I just drag/drop the files in the serenedipity-folder from local to server (FTP-program).
How do I do the upgrade all over again? I guess I haven't really done it. Should I upload the 0.85-files first?
solan

Oh no!

When I read the FAQ I just realized I've done something really stupid: Deleting the serendipity_config_local.inc.php-file... WHAT TO DO?

You'll need to just edit the new file and alter the versionInstalled variable. The FAQ covers that, please just read it carefully :)

Don't understand the FAQ

Post by solan »

I don't understand this: "you only need to extract the new Serendpipity release files over your old directory"
Isn't this just what I've done? Uploaded the files into the directory on the server?
In the admin-panel I can now see there are some differences, but there (some of the new stuff in the latest version I guess), but I've still got this errormessage (http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~solfrih)

I'm sorry that I'm sp stupid...
solan

Still problem!

Post by solan »

Okay...

This is what I've done:
I downloaded the s9y 0.9 packages, extracted it and uploaded the files on to the server, with a FTP-program and set the right permissions.

This is what I see:
On my blogg (as you can see yourself: http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~solfrih) I've still got the same errormessage.
On the admin-site of my blogg I can now see new features and on the bottom of the page it says "Powered by Serendipity 0.9 and PHP 4.3.10".

I never got this Upgrade-message/screen on the admin-panel as you said I would... (Are "admin-panel" the same as my admin-site for my blogg?)

Sorry my bad english, my low IQ and all these messages...

Yes, admin-panel is the same as admin-site.

I'm not seeing any error on your blog.

If you want to see the upgrade message, edit your serendipity_local_config.inc.php file and change the versionInstalled variable to your old version number. See the FAQ for more details.
