Hey everybody,
I was wondering what the Frontpage in the Serendipity Administration Suite is for. All you can see there is "Welcome back, *Username*". Nothing more.
Sorry for the silly question.
Have a nice evening.

Re: Uhm...what is the Frontpage for...?
Well, we couldn't decide in earlier versions on what to display here by default. The "edit entry" screen? The "new entry screen"?
Soinstead we weren't able to put any efforts in this, but it's supposed to become a overview panel where you can edit your latest entries, see the latest comments since the last visit and so on.
There already is a plugin hook for that place,so basically plugins could already use the place to emit any information you/they like
Best regards to Berlin,
Garvin

Both are things that can easily cost a lot of traffic. Experience has shown that sometimes the RSS (sidebar) feature has put down wholewebpages because of remoteconnection problems, and I don't want to hurt the admin interfaces responsivity.
I think we already have a "backendrss" plugin which shows an RSS feed there. The version upgrade thing needs to be well thought of, because it could easily break our neck by people feeling spied at.
I remember a big fight about a wordpress image in thebackend interface, which was called from the wordpress.org servers, and peoplecomplained about WP "phoning home" and stealing usage data.
Sigh.
Regards,
Garvin

Hi!
Even though babies are always cute
)
The submenu is done with pictures (using CSS), yes. It's actually a PHP script that I built for that, and it's very specific to my usage...
Bestregards,

Basicallyyou could use the backend RSS plugin and display the blog.s9y.org RSS newsfeed there, which also contains security and new release announcements...I would like that too! Maybe some news regarding S9y and the plugins/styles.
Thanks!Btw, Garvin, I've just visited your site and I like the lucidity. The Baby-Photo of you is cute!![]()
