Hidden or password protected blog entries

Hi,

I'm creating a personal blog for me and my girlfriend, but there are some things we'd like to keep hidden from her traditionalist parents.

Is it possible to create an s9y blog that has hidden categories/posts, which only appear when certain users log in?
