Locked Out of Files

I installed .9 twice and both times I was locked out of the files. i.e,. the server took ownership.

I could not edit any of the files. I could not FTP over any edits. I could not chane the permissions. In fact, this evening I tried to edit the polls files and ran into the problem again.

I've had to email my host and ask them to change the permissions on the files for me to own twice already.

Why is this happening? I've never seen it before.

Your server admin has a problematic permission setup, which you need to fix with a PHP script that you can execute yourself.
