Adding Image in Sidebar / Titlebar

Post by jules »

I would like to add an image in the sidebar or titlebar. Is there a way to do this?

a) you can edit the index.tpl of your theme and put the image whereever you want.
b) you can put the image into a html-nugget into the sidebar, or with the head-nugget into the head of the page.

its very easy.

Let me play real dumb here.
a. you can edit the index.tpl of your theme and put the image whereever you want.
How do you edit the index.tpl to affect the side bars? I've edited it for some layout changes but I can't affect the sidebars with it.
b. you can put the image into a html-nugget into the sidebar, or with the head-nugget into the head of the page.

How do I get an "html-nugget" (whatever that is) into the side bar and then what do I do with it?
its very easy.
Well for this dumb cowboy it sure ain't easy, I've been fighting this for two weeks before I remembered this forum. Please help.

open your "configure plugins" menu. choose "click here to install a new sidebar plugin" select the HTML-Nugget. Enter the image-url into the nugget. Thats it. In the configure plugins menu you can change the position of the nugget.

I recommend installing the Spartacus event plugin first to be able to download all kinds of plugins directly from the web. you will then be able to download the headnugget and multilanguagenuggets and other stuff as well.

Thanks, I always wondered what the html nugget was for but I learned early on not to install plugins you don'r understand. After the 3rd reinsatll because a plugin messed things up I quit that. Thanks again.

The HTML-Nugget is the universal ultimate weapon when it comes to do something inside your sidebar very fast.
