Hey,
I installed Serendipty like I was told to in the installtion howot (on the site). Now I wa wondering, after installation, what files (and to what permissions) am I to set files so that everything is "safe" and secure?
I mean on the install page it says that all files are writeable for an easy installation.. and then it says to change permissions back so that only those directories can be accessed by the webserver? :/
I'm a bit confused about this.. any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi!
Yes, it's quite secure. The only bit of extra security you can add is to make the core directory non-writable for the webserver.
Regards,
Garvin
