I was more interested in how you were going to get the dump of your existing database from the serendipity install that you did using their control panel. This will be needed to export into your "new" (1 of 10) database. With PHPMyAdmin I was not able to connect to the database that the control panel Serendipity install created.

In that case no, there is no way to do this, which is why I must do the manual install of SY9. Luckily I just started the blog so I do not have to import much.
