admin not created

no admin was created when i installed .9...any help available?

same person....my styles are gone too, i can get to admin by navigating to serendipity_admin.php, but the "Open Login Screen" goes to mysite.com/admin.

I have rewriting turned off as well..

If the Login Screen goes to /admin, you don't have URL Rewriting turned off! Go and enter your s9y configuration via the serendipity_admin.php path and check your setting for "URL Rewriting" and set it to "None" again, and save the config.

okay, i've saved the settings...what should my .htaccess permissions be set to?

thanks a ton for everything garvin...you've helped me before and I want you to know it's greatly appreciated!

I've changed my permissions after reading other forum posts about the .htaccess file and everything's running fine.

For some reason it SAID my rewrite was turned off but it was apparently not. Thanks again!
