Re: discussion - user level 0
Do you mean setting up the plugin, or accessing the Forum?
You can open the forum by calling http://yourblog/index.php?serendipity[subpage]=forum
The setup of certain items is restricted to level 255, that is true!
Regards,
Garvin

Did you call the URL I gave you, with the index.php?serendipity[subpage]=forum URL?
What's your URL, then I can look at it.

Garvin

I'm sorry but just not sure what you are saying the URL must contain
weweaartighs.org/forum/index.php
or
weweartights.org/index.php
if it's much longer than any of these (which I might add don't work ) then maybe a link to the forum on the blog webpage is what I'll end up using...once I get it working
thank you

Hm, I think this should already be possible.
You might want to drop by the official forum plugin support forum at http://blog.linux-stats.org/...
Best regards,
Garvin

Hi Craig...
I didn't understand you on the discussion in my blog, so I sent you here...
Sure, only the administrator is allowed to create a new discussion board. But every user, registered and unregistered, is allowed to start a new discussion (thread) in every board. So I still don't know, where the problem is...

I doesn't see the sense behind this. There's no (normal) discussion forum software which allows his users to create a new board. Well, I don't know phpBB very well, but I think this is also not possible there.Anonymous wrote:Ah you answered my question.
So "only" the administrator is allowed to start a new "board"
I wanted that ability (to start a new board ) available for the registered user as well.
What could be the reason to let normal registered users create their own boards??!
This would result in an absolutly chaotical structure.
