I have tried to edit my entries on my blog and add images and it refuses to work. When I click on "Manage Images" then select my image it works fine. I then get the image added and hit save, it appears to save it but the image is not there. I later go back to edit that entry and the image is not showing, its like the edit entry never happened.
New entries with media added work fine. Any ideas what the cause is? I am running 0.8.4
Cannot add images when editing entry?

Re: Cannot add images when editing entry?
Are you using the WYSIWYG editor? Please give us the URl of an entry that should have an image but doesn't.

The media insertion dialog of Serendipity can also embed links to uploaded non-image media files like PDF, yes.

It does show normal files, but that depends on the Serendipity version you are using. Which one are you using?

Are you using imagemagick or GDlib functions for serendipity?
Could you check your serendipity_images DB table and see which MIME-type is there filled in for PDFs or other application files you uploaded?
Are you using the WYSIWYG editor? If yes, could you temporarily disable it and see if it works then?
Regards,
Garvin

I just copy the files to the Dir. and not by Media to upload, garvinhicking wrote:Could you check your serendipity_images DB table and see which MIME-type is there filled in for PDFs or other application files you uploaded?
so it can't see the files.
How do I fix the problem? one by one to upload files by Media?
There are so many files in that Dir.

Hi!
Well of course that is your problem! IF you don't use the media upload, s9y cannot possibly know about your files.
Upload the files via media manager in the future, and click on "Rebuild thumbs" - this will let s9y catch all your uploaded files and insert them into the Media DB automagically.
Best regards,
Garvin
