Getting 404 Page not found after installation

Hi there!

I'm totally new to Serendipidity and just wanted to try out this weblog instead of Wordpress. I tried several times to install the log and I'm getting no errors until I have finished the installation process. When clicking on the link "Visit your new Blog" I'm always getting the standard error page 404 page not found.

What could I have done wrong? I checked my database, all tables have been set and the admin has been inserted.

Can you please try in the install to switch the URL Rewriting Option to "OFF". It seems that your host does not allow proper URL Rewriting, which you seem to have enabled.

If that fixes the issue, we can continue to debug why URL Rewriting does not work. Most often it's a problem because your .htaccess file may not got written.
