directory could not be created

hello,

if i try to install serendipity i get the following message: Directory /.../ does not exist and could not be created. Please create the directory manually"

so i created it manually but nothing changed. what am i doing wrong?

Which serendipity do you try to install? Does it really say "Directory /.../ does not exist"? Or is there another direcotry mentioned?

How did you create the directory, what was the name and which permissions did you set.

it is version 0.8.5

exactly it says directory: /home/strato/www/bl/www.blindschleicher.de/htdocs/uploads/

i set 777 as permissions

Hm, usually if s9y complains about permissions, the permissions are really not set properly. So is "uploads/" really existing in that directory? Maybe there's a "/serendipity/" or so missing in between?
