Garbage on Front Page

I just installed Serendipity and it looks great, but how do I get rid of the Garbage at the bottom of the front page? (The voting stuff, terms of use, links and legal junk)

I don't see such "Garbage" on your page, what do you mean?

Thanks for checking, but I fixed it over the weekend. It seems as if the index.php file that came with the installation needed to be edited to remove a failed poll and some legal stuff at the bottom of the page.
