How about RSS feed for this forum?

Hi there,

I have seen some forums that offer an rss feed for their new posts (The german WP forum for example). I find it very useful.

Would'nt it be a good idea to offer this for the s9y forum too?

The problem is that phpBB is pervertly hard to maintain because of all those security issues. Any additional installed mod is a pain in the back to maintain. We formerly had RSS support here (http://www.s9y.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=467), but it got lost when updating each week to a new phpBB release

As we are focussed on developing Serendipity, I personally don't have the time nor motivation to spend so much time on the forum software - it should just plain work and allow posting, all the moderation and maintaining tasks are hard for me to carry out here.

I also don't have access privileges to the server here, so I cannot upload anything via FTP - so you'd have to bug Jannis for installing this

I just thought it would not be such a big trouble to install rss because I have seen it on the WP forum and Abakus-SEO forum which both use phpBB too.

I understand that you cannot do all the programming for the whole s9y site

So I have to lookup the forum in my browser regularly. Never mind. It's not too much trouble for me. It would just be nice to have.
