how to update?

hi.
i want to upgrade from 0.8.2 to 0.8.4. but the doc about upgrading tells me something about an script. the problem is i have no shell access so i cant execute the upgrade.sh. and i dont think my hoster will do it

is there another way to upgrade ?

as I know you don't need to use the shell-script.

just upload the files, change the .htaccess file as described in the install-readme and brows to the serendipity directory. there will be an upgrade button and all is done...

after upgrading restore the .htaccess as it was before...

Personally, I didn't even have to adjust the .htaccess file.
