Is it easy to rewrite dynamic urls to 'pretty' ones?

Post by anley »

Hello

Looking hard at using Serindip for a new blog idea I've got and so far it looks really good.

Reading the forums and faqs etc I think I'm right in saying that dynamic urls can be rewritten as though they look static etc.

Is this right and how easy is it to implement. I've got good computer/html/web skills but have never gone down the database route before.

Also, for those of you that are rewriting your urls, how have you found this in regards to SEO?

Thanks a lot Serendippers

The custom permalinks are doable only in serendipity 0.9. There just go to configuration and look at the "Permalink" section. It's quite easy to change.

In terms of SEO, the current default scheme has proven very well!
