Not as such, you would have to make modifications.

However here staticpages are a bit different than entries and you can just make a english staticpage, a german one and so one; and use a HTML nugget plugin to link to only specific staticpages depending on the language

But it would be nice to support them out of the box :)

Do you mean like a double link "German/English" with the German linked to the german site and English linking to the english?

I have a bilingual website written in basic html and I wanna use s9y for it. But most of the content is actually more a candidate for a static page than for an entry. Of course I can put it all into entries and use the multi-language plugin to choose what language to show.

How about this suggestion:

Put the staticpages into entries, use the multilingual plugin for multi-language version. And (now comes the special part) put all those entries into a category "static pages".

Then use the new categorytemplates plugin and make the entries of this category be formated without comments, date and so on, just that they look like static pages. Now also use the entryproperties plugin to hide those entries frmo the startpage, and voilá, your' done.

Doesn't that sound terrific? :-D

I understand. But wouldn´t I still have to write some sort of bilingual sidebar menu?
The visitors can choose the blog language, and the entry language (if not recognized automatical), but how to customize the sidebar?

You can use the new multilingual HTML nugget by Wesley for that! :) There you can put content depending on the selected language... :)
