Hi,
This is my irst time on the forum, so I hope someone can help me.
When I went to log into my blog this morning, I got the following message:
"Oops!
It seems an error has occured, the page you are trying to reach is not accessible.
Error
MESSAGE: Cannot connect to DB, check your credentialsIf you remove the file seagull/var/INSTALL_COMPLETE.php you will be able to run the setup again.
TYPE: DB FAILURE
DEBUG INFO:
CODE: -111
Error
MESSAGE: DB Error: connect failed
TYPE: PEAR
DEBUG INFO:
CODE: -24"
Now, I appreciate the user-friendly error message, but there is nothing I can do about it from my end.
Who is responsible for fixing the database and when can we get it back up?

DB Failure
Re: DB Failure
Unless you accidentally changes your database connection credits (doesn't sound like you would know how to do that), you should talk to the person/company you got your web hosting package from.pwallace wrote:Who is responsible for fixing the database and when can we get it back up?

Re: DB Failure
What a nice christmas surprise...
This message has nothing to do with Serendipity in special.
It is part of some Seagull installations DB class (http://svn.seagullproject.org/svn/seagu ... SGL/DB.php) of your hosting package, I expect.
Talk with your ISP.
