[solved] "Show Code" not working in Extended Entry

Post by Dergln »

Hey there,

when I select "view code" for my extended entry I just get weird quadro dots.
Changes in that extended part are also not saved at all but immediately wiped away after I perform any kind of page load (e.g. preview or save, NOT f5 ;)).

It was working perfectly since I installed 2 days ago, and yes, all the oh-thats-a-nice-plugin-I-want-that stuff already happened - I'm not into plugin spam for it only leads to problems sooner or later.

In fact I was just trying to find out why the LightBox-Plugin didn't work with one picture (plugin didn't recognize it no matter what and therefore didn't add it's code to the link which caused this picture being not shown in a seperated window when clicked on) when the bug appeared the first time.
No strange code put in then and it doesn't matter if I turn off the plugin, the bug persists.

I installed the tinymce-editor plugin and I can at least successfully do an edit with it. No buttons showing up though but I'd simply take that as a 3rd party problem and I don't really care for the standard editor totally serves my needs.

Here's a *link to the blog*, if any of the admins (and don't even ask, only them will get one 8)) needs to login to research the problem (I guess you will need to, for it's located in the backend, right ?) simply tell me, I'll send you a PM with login data then.

Greetings
Oliver

Hi!

The "quadro dots" appear to me what is usually the "drag handler" from the plugin manager. Maybe somehow some code got mangled into that entry.

Viewing your entry's HTML, the only weird thing I can see is some onclick handler mentioning Xinha, but I wouldn't know how this would cause the issue.

If you send me login data to your blog via PM, I can try to inspect the site with Firebug to see where the code is coming from exactly...

Regards,
Garvin
