I imported a blog from typepad, via the MT format. I noticed that old commenters had their email addresses exposed, where they weren't before. In fact I don't see a way to hide it in the admin or the DB, I'm going to just edit the template to take it out.
I know this isn't unexpected behavior as such, but I argue it's a mistake in design.
Thanks.
When importing, commenter emails become public

Configure Plugins -> Spam Protector ->Hide E-Mail addresses of commenting users -> [x] Yes [ ] Noorblivion wrote:In fact I don't see a way to hide it in the admin or the DB, I'm going to just edit the template to take it out.

This should be default!

YL, thanks. I didn't think to check under spam.
But I agree with onli, I think this should be the default as well.

HI!
Oh my. I'm terribly sorry, I didn't notice that this was not the default. Of course you all are right, I changed this in the plugin.
Regards,
Garvin

If you remember the posting, maybe I can find a reason why I didn't enable this earlier?onli wrote:As far as i remember, my very first post (like 2 years ago) was about that issue

Think you never saw it. My mind played a trick on me, it probably wasn't my first post, just a note in a reply somewhere else.
