Garvin,
Ok, so the Xinha plugin shows errors if run from http://domain/.. So this is a known error, is someone working on a solution?
Xinha 0.96.1 object error
Re: Xinha 0.96.1 object error
Did you try with www?jschulenburg wrote:Update 2: when going to a subdir the Xinha works, when going to the domain it doesn't work:
- http://ip-numer/domain, with paths correctly filled : Ok
- http://domain/, with paths correctly filled : faillure
You are working on a NAS, aren't you?
So the first behaviour seems the right one, since you need a SERVER NAME or the IP, like http://192.169.5.112/ to access it via HTTP internally. In your case its probably something like //nas/domain, but thats just a guess.

Re: Xinha 0.96.1 object error
Fot your information, i have s9y installed on a Synology DS210J NAS. I tried to connect to http://www.domainname.nl/, only fckeditor seems to work. When configuring the s9y for http://ip-number/domainname Xinha works fine
See the attached screenshots.
I understood from Garvin that this is an issue with included Xinha version..

Really? I must have read over this. I remember him saying, maybe localhost doesn't work...jschulenburg wrote:I understood from Garvin that this is an issue with included Xinha version..
But anyway, I would try and set the Autodetect HTTP Host back to no.

Re: Xinha 0.96.1 object error
Maybe its just a problem working over DynDNS pre-routing, which causes xinha to not properly bounce back to domainname?

Hi!
Do you really use "www.domainname.nl"? With which DNS methods do you route the domainname to your NAS?
When you use LiveHTTPHeaders for firefox, you can analyze which URLs get requested. Maybe you can enable that tool and see, from which host and with which headers xinha tries to load its javascript files, and then trace if the single URL call from within a browser gives you errors.
IMHO something is going on with your routing here...
Regards,
Garvin

Re: Xinha 0.96.1 object error
I connect to http://www.schulenburg-it.nl/serendipity_admin.php. My nAS is configured to passthrough everything from http://www.schulenburg-it.nl/ to the directory schulenburg-it. Seems to me this should work.
@Ian: Changing autodetect HTTP host doesn't change enaything.
@Garvin: i will try to see if LiveHTTPHeaders shows something.
I will get back to you both asap. Thanks for all the help! I really love s9y, its fast and easy to use.

Re: Xinha 0.96.1 object error
I'm running Firefox 4.0 beta 11, LiveHTTPHeaders is not compatible with the browser
Maybe i can test it using IE..
Re: Xinha 0.96.1 object error
I never heard IE using good things like LIVE Headers.
But with Firefox you can use the Nightly Tester Tools or the Compatibility Reporter to use ADD-on's and Plugins in Beta versions.

But this behaviour with a sudden healing sound like some sort of Cache problem, which sometimes does make weired things. Glad you have solved your problems.
