pdf-Export and German umlauts

Post by Lux »

Hi,

unfortunately the PDF-Export-Plugin does not show the Umlauts properly. Even in the Plugin overview page, there is an error:
Blog als PDF exportieren
Exportiert alle Eintrge des Blogs in eine PDF-Datei
Cheers

Hi!

Hm; the display in the plugin list should not really be important. However normal PDF export should work. In which charset is your blog running, and did you change it at some point?

Regards,
Garvin

The blog is running in UTF-8, this was changed four years ago.

Cheers

Hi!

It could be that your cached version of serendipity_pluginlist still contains an outdated string from the "old days". You could empty that table (make a backup first), it will be rebuild when its empty.

About the PDF, which settings do you use for the plugin? On which URL can I have a look at the resulting PDF?

Regards,
Garvin

Ok, I will delete that table, the plugin and try to start over. That reminds me to ask you for a new feature "plugin removal", including plugin on disk and tables in the database.

I can not configure anything.

Update:

I had two entries for the plugin in the pluginlist table, one for version 1.0 which was installed and one for the recent version 1.8. I deleted both entries and reinstalled (after switching the mirror back and forth).

Now it works with the umlauts, but unordered lists are not converted properly.

Cheers
