Google Analytics Plugin not tracking
Just installed the Google Analytics plugin Friday, 48 hours later its still not tracking.
The plugin instructions were straightforward, but while I think I did everything right it doesn't appear to be tracking and I don't see the Google code in any of my blog pages' source code.

Link List XML Character Issues
Just a note for other s9y users who (like me) are not XML experts, and encounter XML-based plugins...
When using plugins like "Link List" where you need to code in XML, remember to be mindful of XML reserved characters. I forgot that ampersands cannot be used with XML without escaping it some way ...

Thanks a lot for the info, Don. I have it installed now and it's pretty cool.
I should say here that while I like these plugins I think that the UI Serendipity has developed is pretty inscrutable. Or maybe the 3rd party developers need better documentation. I like the interface but I really didn't ...

HTML META-Tags install?
I am new to s9y. I am trying to use the plugin "HTML META-Tags". I downloaded it and then uploaded the expanded directory to my "plugins" directory on my s9y site. I am not seeing it in the Configure Plugins page though. What am I doing wrong?
If I have the answer to this it may clear up the whole ...

Jude, thanks for the tip. Yes I am using FF3 but I went over every field and re-input.
I looked and looked for an .htaccess file in the main level of the s9y directory but never found one. Also not sure about the "URL Rewriting" setting. All I have for this is a drop menu and no option for "none ...

Not finding htaccess
Hmmm... I looked for it and am not seeing it. Yes my FTP client and Mac OS finder can display .htaccess, I've worked with these files before. I also just downloaded Serendipity again and un-tarred it to see if it created a new htaccess file, but nothing is there either.

where is htaccess file?
I changed my blog directory name from 'serendipity' to 'blog', and everything seems to work fine - except that I get the generic directory listing when I access the blog at my site www.thesfchronicles/blog/ .
I know that this is probably an htaccess file issue, but I don't know where that file ...
