Re: Add separate RSS feed for full entry view

That's exactly what I was hoping for, so thanks, Don :). Though I'm still open to the possibility of having a completely separate feed option without altering what's there (even through an offsite service?), this should work just smashingly.

Add separate RSS feed for full entry view

Hi folks..

I use the Syndication plugin on my site, and it works great. I export my entries to Facebook, to help garner more views, and to save space (and for other reasons like spoiler reviews) I often make use of the extended entry option. I selected the option in the Syndication plugin to NOT ...

Using your example, what is the source of the first line of text if the second line of text is the actual entry title?

So, I am working on a monthly blog series that will be titled "Second Chance Reviews" and I would have the title of what I am reviewing, whether a movie or book, as the second ...

[solved] Line break in entry title?

I have an interesting question to pose - is it possible to create a line break within an entry's title?

The goal would be to create something visually similar to this:

Weekly Blog Series Name:
Individual Entry Title

The idea would be to have the ability to do this on each individual entry, as ...

The alternative is to put a .htaccess into each dir in which you set "DirectoryIndex index.html" to be able to use the URL without a filename.

Haha! That worked like a charm :D Both work, but I prefer the visual aspect of just using folder structure in the address bar, so I prefer that ...

@Don Chambers - Sorry for the confusion, my day has consisted of taking a college math test and staring at code, so I probably could have been more clear  The problem is that all of my subdirectories are being rerouted to the main s9y index page.

@judebert - Thanks for the response. I ...

Any other options for subdirectory rewrite issue?

Hi folks..

I just finalized transferring my Serendipity install from it's original /Blog/ folder to my site root - to better integrate my blog with my site and it's links. I've spent quite a few days redesigning the template to get it just right - when, after finishing this evening, I noticed that ...

Php include not working

Hi folks,

I've recently decided to move my blog from it's folder into the main site root and use it as my main index page. All has gone well, but as I am now redesigning the default template to match my previous index page, I am not able to use this code to bring in my own personal sidebar for my ...

It worked!

Thank you, very much for your help, it's working perfectly! I really appreciate it when someone patiently finds the time to help someone else - it's a nice, rare treat to find in the world. :D

Serendipity has been a really nice setup so far, so thanks for that too, while I'm at it.

Hello once again :)
Ok... I understand how that goes together now, thank you. However, I can not get it to find the cid on it's own. If I include the cid number, that is all it will export - however I haven't been able to output anything by any other means. I have included the entire code that I am ...

Re: Need help exporting comments with SimplePie

For each item of the RSS 2.0 feed you should see a wfw:commentRss link, there you should be able to use PHP and preg_match() code to extract the entry-ID?

I have done research and studied how preg_match() works, but for the past couple of hours I have been thinking of how to implement it all ...

Re: Need help exporting comments with SimplePie

Do you maybe mean a URL like this:

http://blog.s9y.org/comment.php?serendipity[entry_id]=192&serendipity[type]=comments

Yeah, that's just what I'm looking for - I just don't know how to set the link to be dynamic, so that it will point to the comments of the latest post feed every time I post ...

Re: Need help exporting comments with SimplePie

Hi Garvin...

Thanks for the response! It threw me off seeing what time you posted, but then I realized you're in Germany - and I'm in America.

I tried the feed access you suggested, but it's not quite what I was looking for. Again, this may be an issue I'll have to handle with SimplePie ...
