You set me thinking :).
Changed this in blue_style.css, activated "Generate equal heights columns using javascript" and it works.

Code: Select all

.serendipitySideBarFooter {
    border-left: 4px solid #dfdfdf;
    background-color: #efefef;
}
Thanks :).

Bulletproof: Sidebar Terminator-"Plugin"

Hi.

This is kind of a plugin-, but also kind of theme-related question, so I'll take "Themes".
I am looking for a plugin or patch to Bulletproof to get a "terminator" in sidebars that fills empty space with the colorscheme of the style, so that there is no white space underneath. That, combined ...

Get rid of "Edit", but keep the icon

Hi.

I just don't like how the serendipity_edit_nugget changes the size of the boxes, so I want to remove the text and move the wrench icon somewhere else. Moving is no problem, but how to get rid of the "Edit"/"Bearbeiten"?

Mh, but this requires adding rel="external" by hand to each external link... My dream of a solution would be a javascript/plugin that crawls the content for external links, adding target="blank" to each ...

Opening external links in new window

Is there any possibility to open links that do not point to my own website in a new window? So the script should add target="_blank" to any external link it finds.
Is there a solution, yet? I am too lazy to add this by hand to any external link :).

AdSense blind as a bat?

Hi.

A week ago or so I added little ads to my blog. However, on my main page http://www.besuchermag.net it seems like Google is blind, ignoring the
<!-- google_ad_section_start -->
<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

I read about this to limit adsense to only these content portions. But it displays ads ...

"Never ever trust your own knowledge..." should get printed on my head.
You were right again. Flash was working with Firefox, but did not with IE 7/8.

Freetag flash cloud does not display in IE 7/8?

Hi.

I don't want to disturb the peace of this freetag thread again (just saw the red solution *lol*).

Uhm, the flash cloud displays correctly in Firefox, but in Internet Explorer 7 and 8 (beta) it just looks like a placeholder with no content (the same seems to happen to my impress in the very ...

Oh my nerdyness... you are right. One should edit this post and transform the solution to red, huge and bold :D.

I have got the exact same problem. Activating "verwende Flash um die Tag-Wolke anzuzeigen?" won't switch the cloud to flash. Any ideas?

Re: RSS-Feeds can't be viewed at all

When the .rss2 URL is requested, it seems your webserver is using gzip compresion. If I call http://www.besuchermag.net/rss.php though, it all works properly. Supposedly because your server does not use gzip compression for .php ending URLs.

Weird... I did not change gzip settings myself ...

[solved] RSS-Feeds can't be viewed at all

Hi.

I already took a search across the forum, but the others can load there RSS-feeds, but their browsers aren't able to parse the xml because of extra spaces at the beginning of the file.

MY problem is, that the feeds can't be loaded at all. When trying to load them with FireFox, it tells me they ...

I converted the tables now using the ALTER-function (I know this is not the preferrable method, but I am lazy). The CREATE FULLTEXT INDEX-command now worked and search is working now, too.

Edit: Wouldn't it be nice if Serendipity setup would prescribe MyISAM as Engine, or let the user choose?

I got exact the same problem with CREATE FULLTEXT INDEX.
Now, thats what I do on the mysql console:
****:~# mysql --user=admin --password=***** serendipity
--> full administrative privileges

mysql> GRANT INDEX ON *.* TO *@besuchermag.net;
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)

mysql> FLUSH ...

I never saw an earlier post regarding widths... If it was in German, I could not have read it anyway. That is the downside of posting in German - you limit the audience of those who can assist to just those who can understand the language, which I cannot.

Now I am confused. Did I scramble up my ...
