i installed the phpBB2 external app and intregrated it with Serendipity. Now any articles and comments posted are mirrored in the forum.

ok, maybe it was some teething problems, but the discussion link, almost works..it takes the user to the forum at least....
and the comment box is back working now... :o)

still wondering about how to get the category to match the forum topic?

hi garvin, thanks for the help! i've installed phpBB2 and created a forum identical to the one that was on our site previously...

we can duplicate blog entries into the forum - but how can i make each category go to the correct forum topic?

also, if i want to comment on an article, can i disable ...

i wanted to implemt a forum (i have one currently based here http://musflashtv.forum5.com/index.php)

it'd be great to get any of the blog posts mirrored into a forum too, plus the comments...

but i'm not sure how this 'serendipity_event_forum' works - are their any instructions available anywhere ...

Adding emdedded html to side bar

Hey Guys!

Just wondering - if there a plug-in that enables me to add a small frame with some graphics and clickable url links...?

ALSO

Is there a plug in that automates publishing of articles on the blogs? i'm sure there is just had trouble finding what it's called!

i think the gap problem is to do with the way the template i'm using is designed to be a a few pixel spaces apart from the top of the page...
i'm not sure where in the index.tpl file i can make the appropriate adjustments? To see what i mean have a look at the other sub-blogs...

i've just deleted a conflicting css script which sorted out the font problem...(was making all the surrounding fonts change to a pale colour)

as for the gap between the header and the embedded banner - can't seem find any problems with the table construct that would cause it to create a gap...hmmm ...

ok i've added the flash header, but have a couple of minor problems

does anyone have any idea why the font has changed colour & there is a slight gap between the header graphic and the embedded banner...?

is there a way to correct these little problems?

Can css stretch a background image?

Is it possible to strech a background image so it fills the page, rather than a repeat tile...? Or is there a cunning way around this problem in css? :wink:

Hey Garvin, turns out the code i was given is riddled with mistakes - i've updated the links & css files, and countless other things... and made some good progress. I'll post the URL as soon as i've finished playing around with it! Thank you again for your time :o)
