Thanks.
The database is mysql, controlled via phpmyadmin. General cp is Plesk.
How can I find out about the rights? Is this info visible in phpmyadmin or plesk?

Is a fresh installation likely to help?
Hi Garvin,
actually it was a fresh installation.
Since there is no content yet I could simply delete it and make a new install.
Would that be the best thing to do?

Can't save new entries
Hi,
so far I saved 1 entry. After that I installed the 'extended properties of articles' plugin.
Now I can't save new articles. After clicking save this error message is shown:
INSERT INTO serendipity_entries (title,timestamp,body,extended,isdraft,allow_comments,moderate_comments,exflag,comments ...

view-edit-delete links show up twice
Hi,
in one of my serendipity installations in the admin area/edit entry the links view, edit and delete show up twice.
So at the page where the available articles are listed at each article there are the links and they look like this:
view view edit edit delete delete
Any idea how to fix this ...

Turning "Enable DB charset conversion" off solved the problem.

wrong display of characters
Hi,
I'm not aware of any changes that I made to my blog, but the display of certain characters has changed within the last days.
Using google cache I was able to retrieve an image how it looked a few days ago.
Here's an image that shows a few days ago and the current version:

Except for clearing the form fields after submitting, the code works fine now.
Thanks Garvin!

Re: need help with changes to index.tpl
Thanks for the tip, I'll try that.
I feel so clumsy when working in any code...
I worked my way through smarty documentation instead and didn't understand a thing.

need help with changes to index.tpl
Hi,
I'm a smarty-dummy ;-) and need help with integrating a web form into my index.tpl.
I really need it done and I'm willing to pay for it.
(Better than wasting more hours to try on my own. I'm done with that.)

Re: misunderstanding
Or maybe the guy posting his question wasn't very clear. That's what happens when German guys visit english speaking forums and try to express themselves.garvinhicking wrote: Aaah, now I see. Sorry for misunderstanding you. Must be too late![]()
Thanks for the pointer to the FAQ, that helps.

Hi Garvin,
thanks for the quick answer.

can't access other folders on serendipity domain
Hi,
I have serendipity installed in the root of the domain.
Now I want to install separate content in subfolders at the same domain.
When I enter the path to the subfolder I am redirected to the root and thus to the serendipity main page.
Can I fix this?

authors login: log out doesn't do anything
Hi,
I installed authors login that displays a login box at the sidebar. Once a user is logged and clicks the log out button in the sidebar the page refreshes, but the user still is logged in.
Any idea how to fix this?
Thanks,
Ralf
