Re: Sidebar Plugins missing after upgrade

Hi sorry for delay replaying.

I tried moving the columns. The plugins show up in the configuration, but not the blog output. I've added a screenshot attachment.

I don't know if that is any useful information for you ...I'm stumped by this problem.

Thanks

Sidebar Plugins missing after upgrade

Hello

I've recently upgraded the the latest version and the sidebar plugins I had installed do not show anymore (Calendar, Search, RSS Feeds).

They are listed in the Configuration. I tried removing them and reinstall but they do not show up.
Anybody and suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi

No I don't have "Track Exits" enabled.

I think thought it's cause by mod rewrite on the server configuration. Probably just best to turn it off.

htaccess problem

I find that the only way to get my blog to follow outbound links is to comment out these three lines from .htaccess

#RewriteRule ^index\.(html?|php.+) index.php?url=index.html [L,QSA]
#RewriteRule ^htmlarea/(.*) htmlarea/$1 [L,QSA]
#RewriteRule (.*\.html?) index.php?url=/$1 [L,QSA]

OK I managed to upload my entries.sql from the .tar file using PhpAdmin import, but I haven't done the rest.

Is there a faster way to do this, rather than manually adding each .sql file by hand? Can I use FTP and which directory wwould I upload the .sql files to?

Thanks

Hi Garvin

My '2007-10-10-22-37_sqlbackup.tar' contains 32 sql files. Does that sound right?

One has INSERT_serendpity_emtries.sql etc... and is about 1MB

However when I extract it, it makes a new 'last_backup' direcrory which contains much smaller files and not all the data.

On my new server can ...

Moving from GoDaddy

Hi,

like some others on this board GoDaddy have forced me off their servers by claiming high CPU usage and shutting off my site.

Only now I find I cannot access mysql database. I have managed to download a 'sqlbackup.tar'.

If I make a fresh install nother server, is the 'sqlbackup.tar' enough to ...

When I installed Serendipity it was in it own directory, but moved everything over to the root. Could that be the problem?

Sorry, that can't be. Serendipity does neither need nor create a 'feeds' directory!

Best regards,
Garvin

Sorry by "it" I had changed subject to Serendipity itself, not the ...

Hi

Yes I have enabled "URL Rewriting" and my server (Godaddy) does support it.

If Ichange "URL Rewriting" to "NONE" then the links I have in search engines will not work??

Also, my "feeds" directory is missing.

When I installed Serendipity it was in it own directory, but moved everything over to ...

Categories are missing.

Hi

I made my first category and then went to edit an old entry, adding this entry to the new category.

But when I click my new category it makes a 404

Does mean that categories only work to entries AFTER a category has been made?

Thanks
