Hopefully, this thread will be helpful to someone else with this "problem".

I was using Firefox with one tab for the Admin area and another for the blog itself. While logged into the Admin it showed the email on the blog. When I logged out it was no longer shown.

I just figured it was seeing that I was already logged in and was showing me more information that a visitor ...

It was checked, unchecked and rechecked and resaved.

I was logged in to my account. This is something shown for admins, but not general visitors?

On an entry where I had checked that comments are allowed and did not check they require moderation a site visitor's comment did indeed require approval? Is there a way to not make comments require approval? I know that can allow spammers, but I constantly check and delete the crap. Do I not somehow ...

Was there ever a solution with this?

I don't appear to have the offending plug-in installed yet keep getting an error.

As far as I know I am not using the Announce plugin.

OK, I'm feeling a bit dumb now. My newest post refers to the post before and seems to be creating the trackback that is in my admin panel. The trackback is showing against the older post on the blog.

Do most people leave those or do they delete ...

This is probably a blogging 101 question, but I admit I'm confused.

I just posted my latest entry and within seconds it said the entry had a trackback. The admin area shows only a few lines of my entry and an IP.

The blog itself shows the entry as having no trackbacks. No other entry shows ...

Sounds like I need to split up my posts a bit.

Oh, OK I didn't realize I was essentually creating 2 different pages of the same content - the list of entries for each date (1 in my case) and the actual entry.

So does that mean when the SE spiders come to visit they are going to see 2 pages with the same content?

I guess the plugin is HTML META-Tags version 0.4. It says it's for single entry pages - I have all of my pages as single entries.

The HTML Meta Tags option under Advanced Option on the entry Editing screen; to get it to be applied to the pages, do I have to do anything?

Ahh, now I get it I had to install an event plugin and a sidebar plugin. I didn't realize they were two different things. I was looking for 2 different event plugins. :roll:
