yes i did, the file was there and i have looked into the file, and the setting was right, i even doubled checked if i was just imagining it. I am pretty sure the hosting company has something to with it, but they don't wanna admit it is their fault.

There is a report from securityfocus, that says serendipity has some serious XSS Vulnerabilities, though hell i don't know what is that, but it still raises some concerns. i am not using any htmlarea editor, i am using the versioning plugin and i am using the latest version of the autosave plugin and s9y (1.0). Does it make it any difference if i edit the [AUTOSAVE] entry, it should still function as normal, right? anyway, do i need to remove the versioning plugin??

I have a small problem with this plugin. If i have saved the entry, then i wanna edit it back later, the autosave won't work, it says 'autosave failed'. But if i am editing a new entry, it will work just fine.

I just wanna block the robot from indexing personal files such as the images and stuffs.

Plus in the previous weblog software i used, they have included a robot.txt file with a list of folders and files that shouldn't be allowed to be indexed, for security reasons.

i just wanna ask your guys for opinions, do i need to disallow plugins folder in the robot.txt, or it doesn't actually matters if i disallow it or not. I am just kinda curious about the things in s9y that i need to block in the robot.txt . Any suggestions is appreciated, thanks in advance

i just got a message from my hosting provider, they have confirmed that mod_security is enabled and not planning to disable it at all. This means i can use the plugin at all , but never mind, i will survive. anyway, thanks for all the reply guys.

Quite a lot of questions there :), anyway, my answers are:

1. I can access my admin page normally
2. I usually install all my plugins using Spartacus
3. s9y is installed immediately under the parent folder
4. My .htaccess only has codes written by s9y, eg.. the rewrite modes
