Looks like everything's working as it's supposed to be :D

Or, what exactly is your question (since you did not post any)?

minor, br tag appears and disappears.

I noticed I had typed my entire post in the top window. I decided to cut and paste all but the first two paragraphs into the "extended text" window.

In the edit mode I toggled the "Toggle HTML source" button and there was ...

URL Rewriting

"URL Rewriting
Select which rules you wish to use when generating URLs. Enabling rewrite rules will make pretty URLs for your blog and make it better indexable for spiders like google. The webserver needs to support either mod_rewrite or "AllowOverride All" for your serendipity dir. The default ...

I had the default install from GoDaddy but I don't remember if there was any selection. I recently upgraded by copying the serendipity directory in the zip file to the serendipity directory on my GoDaddy site. I thought that would fix it.

Could you tell me why it displays Korean characters in the ...

I don't speak Korean but I just moved to Korea and I want to put Korean words in my blog. The body of the post allows me to have korean letters but not the title. -Jeff

What does this mean? Did a file get corrupted? Did filezilla's automatic binary switch screwup?

ending paragraph tag

Since when is the ending paragraph tag not optional?

SGML allows you to make an ending tag optional and for many years it was in html. Did someone change that? -Jeff
