Thanks Garvin,

Unfortunately within Flickr there appears to be no way to set the mt_allow_comments flag. Is this something I can simply hard-wire into the code in the module?

Cheers,
Rich

Blogging using XMLRPC plugin

Hello again everyone

I have an S9Y installation to which I sometimes blog using Flickr and the xmlrpc plugin. However, blog entries made in this way do not allow comments to be added. Is there any way to make such entries automatically allow comments?

Many thanks,
Rich

Thanks Garvin - that fixed it!

Up to a point. :(

Now I get a series of errors saying the files cannot be written, and then some PHP warnings saying things like:

Warning: mkdir(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 11089 is not allowed to access (path)/blog/plugins ...

Spartacus not connecting

Hi there again,
I'm having trouble with Spartacus on my site. When I use it to try and install a plugin it crashes out with the error:

Connection refused
Notice: Connection refused in (path edited out)/blog/bundled-libs/PEAR.php on line 848

Having searched this forum I can ...

Well, I changed all the occurences of the log path in the file, and then it stopped writing anything to the log altogether, but Flickr still reported a wrong endpoint. :(

So then I reinstalled Serendipity, this time putting it in the root directory of the site (previously it was installed in a ...

And did you check the logfile in /tmp/rpc.log ? If you changed the path location, there are many places in that file, not just on top of the file...

Best regards,
Garvin
Ah. I feel stupid . I only changed the path at the top. I'll change it everywhere and see what it says.

Thanks Garvin.

That's all that's in the log file. I've tried again and still that's all that gets written to it.

To get it I edited serendipity_xmlrpc.inc.php and set $debug_xmlrpc = true at the top.

Blogging from Flickr (again!)

Hi all,
I've installed the xmlrpc event plugin so that I can post blog entries from Flickr. However, within Flickr when I try to "add new blog" and put in the URL for the serendipity_xmlrpc.php file, together with username and password, it just reports back that my endpoint is wrong.

I've enabled ...

Andreas06 theme issue

Hello all
I'm new to S9Y and am setting up a blog for my wife using it.
She really would like to use the andreas06 theme, but whenever you click on a specific blog entry the page gives the following error:
Fatal error: Smarty error: [in file:/home/(blah blah blah)/blog/templates/andreas06/comments ...

Woo! That worked great - thanks very much!

It's be good if a future version of this plugin had the gallery ID configurable in the admin screen.

Gallery 2 sidebar plugin - specific gallery to show?

Hello all,

I've just installed s9y (very impressive!) and have added the sidebar plugin that shows a random Gallery 2 image. This works great, except that I would like to limit the random images selected to just one specific gallery rather than from the entire set of galleries available. Does ...
