So what exactly is a "shared installation dummy file" ?

I'm not fully sure what the difference between LITE and FULL is, especially with regard to upgrading serendipity. The LITE install currently says this:

" Download latest LITE release (March 18th, 2008 - only default template, no shared installation dummy files) "

I don't know what this ...

I notice my post is unclear. This is a request for you to update the upgrading documentation because immediately seeing it's not updated, and that 1.0 is the latest noticeable version mentioned, is a little scary at first. Maybe a new "Notes on updating from 1.x" that states nothing has changed ...

Installing this Plugin can be a nightmare as this requirement comes without warning and will kill your blog. On a shared web host it's not always simple to install PEAR modules, and the readme is certainly not s9y specific.
