spam, spam, spam
If there is a good FAQ, please point me in the right direction. Recently upgraded to 1.1 - don't think that's a factor but just threw it out there. My very modest blog is getting killed by spam right now. 500+ a day comments. Most are to posts old enough that they require moderation so they don't ...

dir tree displayed
Now I'm to the point that no matter what ver I have installed all you see is the dir tree. It won't default to the index.php file like it should. Something must be wrong in the "paths" table in the database, but looking at it it looks correct. Seems to be something I can't fix no matter how many ...

install error messages
Ok, I finally got around to doing this. I installed 1.1 beta in a subdir. When I go to that site, expecting to see the install screen, I get my directory structure laid bare for anyone to see.

1.1 beta - no installation screen
ver 1.0 has been very stable on my server. I tried upgrading to the 1.1-beta, and while the installation works on my local system, on the server I get the directory source file list instead of an installation page. It behaves almost as if the .php is not recognized.

I must be missing something
This upgrade is not working for me. Now that I have installed it everyone has access to all my directories. index.php used to be the default file, but for whatever reason it doesn't go to that anymore after I uploaded all the files.
What am I missing??

redirect?
I have moved my serendipity installation to a subdir off my root - in the interest of organization. Like www.mysite.com/blog/. Simple enough. What I'd like is for a user to be able to simply go to www.mysite.com and have serendipity pick it up. I'm working around it by using a stub index.php with a ...

The packaged WYSIWYG editor is good. Just would like some more options, like blockquote. And I found the images part a bit hard to work with. Maybe I just need to use it more.
As for the FCKeditor, I followed the instructions about downloading and installing below the /serendipity_event_fckeditor ...

FCKEditor - won't work - also is it best?
I installed the "use fckeditor" event plugin and put it at the top of the list. followed the installation and path instructions and still I get the non-wysiwyg editor when I choose to use the wysiwyg editor. not sure where to go next.
Also, is the fckeditor the best?
