[Mon Apr 04 04:08:54 2011] [error] [client <some_internet_ip>] PHP Notice: session ...

Re: 1.2: cannot find serendipity_admin.css
Just wanted to add my solution for this. I had the same problem with apache saying that the serendipity.css, serendipity_admin.css, etc files did not exist. My problem was that I didn't have the "AllowOverride All" option set for serendipity's root directory. Whoops.

Re: Changing database password fails
When I change the DB password it automatically creates an md5 hash of the clear-text password from the command-line (and I have verified that). So, unfortunately, no that won't fix it...

Re: Changing database password fails
Then your pw seems to wrong. I don't know the right syntax for postgres but are you sure, you did it right?
Yep, I'm sure. I've changed many passwords like that. And, in fact, if I run the exact same command but with the old password (and also update the serendipity config file), then everything ...

Changing database password fails
Hello all,
I have 3 serendipity blogs on my site. They all run great and I've never had any problems with them. Long story short, I've been performing some maintenance operations on my server and I noticed that the password to my serendipity database is way too simple. So I thought I would be a ...

YIKES!! You're totally right!! All the things those guys are talking about in your link match what I'm seeing on my server log. :-o
UPDATE: Okay, I'm all upgraded. Jeez, that was kinda scary. It doesn't look like I was infected. Is there a way that I could have known about this earlier than 2 days ...

Someone trying to hack my blog?

PHP Warning: date_default_timezone_get() [SOLVED]
I'm not sure if this is an s9y bug or something I'm doing wrong (more likely =D), but I get the following warning messages in my apache error log anytime someone accesses any of my s9y blog sites.
PHP Warning: date_default_timezone_get(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings ...

Upgrading Serendipity is insanely easy!
Hello all. No complaints here - actually quite the opposite. I just had the absolute pleasure of upgrading my s9y blog for the first time and...well...holy moley I can't believe how easy it was!!! Unzip the tarball over existing directory, go to admin page, click "Yes please do so.", DONE ...

how to make hyperlinks more noticeable?
I am wondering if there is anyway to make the hyperlinks in my blog more noticeable. I currently have a white background and the hyperlinks are just barely colored blue (and it's a thin font). I'm wondering if there is an easy way that I can just make the hyperlinks themselves bold/larger/thicker ...
